Description

Choctaw Hall opened it's doors in 1836 upon completion by the Cupit family who had immigrated to Mississippi from Ireland. This beautiful lady has gone through so much. She has taken over by Union Soldiers during the Civil War to be used as their headquarters. They left her in shambles but she refused to die. She went through several different home owners and was eventually abandoned after being used for a school. Once the city thought about tearing her down, a group of ladies worked hard to gather money to bring her up to the point where they could sell her. That's when a direct descendent of the Cupid Family came to Natchez and purchased this great lady! David Garner promised to make her the beautiful townhouse that she once was. David, and his partner Lee Glover, have worked diligently to make sure you can enjoy the grand lady known as, Choctaw Hall!
