Upcoming Events at Mississippi Museum of Art

This is the first ever Jackson Mississippi Chalk festival.
Event Details
Artists from around the city will be teaming up with artists from Very Special Arts to create chalk, beginning at the Mississippi Museum of Art, continuing around the block towards the Arts Center of Mississippi and Russell C. Davis Planetarium, and culminating at Thalia Mara Hall.
The path will host some of the most creative artist that our great city has to offer, and will be dotted along the way with food trucks and positive inspired images. Guest DJs will be spinning from the top of the new Big Krit mural on east side of the Arts Center.
The festival is partnering with the Museum of Art for their Museum After Hours event, which is sure to turn some heads with its annual Inktober pop-up exhibit, a Halloween costume contest, Art Lab pumpkin painting, and a screening of "Bill Traylor: Chasing Ghosts."
